What happens when a company truly trusts its people? At AvePoint, it means careers that leap continents, mentors who champion your growth, and a culture that celebrates bold ideas. If you’re looking for a place where your voice matters and your potential is recognized, you’re in the right place.

At AvePoint, we believe trust and mentorship are the cornerstones of employee empowerment. When people are supported and encouraged, their unique perspectives and skillsets unlock exciting opportunities that benefit both the individual and the organization.

As AvePoint continues to expand globally, we face new challenges that demand fresh thinking. These evolving needs create opportunities for employees to stretch beyond their current roles, whether by leading new projects or exploring entirely different career paths through internal mobility.

Navigating these opportunities requires a culture of trust. “Fail fast,“ says Zoe Wilson, human resources business partner. At AvePoint, this means employees are encouraged to experiment because every attempt is a chance to learn, improve, and innovate. Leadership embraces this mindset, knowing progress often comes from trying something new.

From Tokyo to the US: Yurie’s Empowerment Journey

This culture of empowerment shines in the story of AvePoint Partner Marketing Manager Yurie Morel. Prior to joining AvePoint, Yurie worked in sales. In January 2021, she began her AvePoint journey as a partner account manager based in Tokyo. After moving to the US, Ken Shiomitsu, AvePoint’s head of Japan, encouraged her to leverage her unique global perspective to shape her own career path. What happened next exemplifies AvePoint’s empowerment culture.

After just eight months in her initial role, Yurie transitioned to channel marketing manager and relocated to the US, working closely with senior director of channel sales, Sam Valme. This wasn’t just a title change. It was a bold move that reflected AvePoint’s commitment to recognizing potential and creating opportunity.

“Everyone can bring ideas to the table, leadership is willing to listen, and you can act on them,“ Yurie explains. “As a young woman in tech, getting these unique opportunities helped me shape my career.“ This openness to employee input has been transformative for her career development.

Her journey has been shaped by meaningful relationships and a supportive environment. “I’ve become personally connected to the people I work with. So many good-souled people,“ she reflects. These connections have provided both professional guidance and personal fulfillment.

But the path hasn't always been predictable. With change comes uncertainty. “Every time my role changes, there is a 'what now' moment,“ Yurie admits. However, she has learned to view this uncertainty as an opportunity rather than an obstacle. “Agility is what I treat as an important value to accomplish,“ she says.

Perhaps most importantly, Yurie values AvePoint’s commitment to intellectual autonomy. “What I appreciate most about AvePoint is the encouraging and collaborative environment,“ she shared. “I enjoy being part of a team where everyone values creative problem-solving and is open to sharing ideas. It’s a place that challenges you in a positive way and supports thinking independently.“

Grow with Us: Your Career, Your Way

Yurie’s story is just one example of how AvePoint empowers employees to grow, take risks, and thrive. When organizations create space for people to contribute authentically and pursue new possibilities, everyone wins.
